Pirate Shop Token Odds Calculator

Enter how many chests you expect to open during the Treasure Hunters event and compare your odds of getting at least one Pirate Shop Token under the four drop-rate figures the community has reported. Every rate here is a community estimate - Epic Games has not published official numbers.

≈0.05% per chest

22.1248%

The most widely repeated figure in community threads.

≈1 in 2,000 chests

22.1248%

Equivalent to 0.05% — cited alongside the per-chest figure.

≈0.014% per chest

6.7611%

A lower per-chest estimate shared in video comments (sample: a 400K-view tracker video).

≈1 in 700,000

0.0714%

The steepest circulating figure — likely a misread of cumulative odds, kept for completeness.

Formula: 1 − (1 − p)^n, where p is the per-chest estimate and n is the number of chests. All figures are community estimates — no official drop rate exists.

Why the four estimates disagree

The most repeated figure, roughly 0.05% per chest (about 1 in 2,000), traces back to early player tallies during the first days of the Treasure Hunters event. A lower per-chest figure near 0.014% surfaced later from larger tracked samples, while the steepest number - 1 in 700,000 - circulates as a cautionary exaggeration more than a measurement.

When a true rate is this small, every sample is noisy: one squad splitting 2,000 chests four ways sees different streaks than a solo player opening 300. That variance is why the estimates disagree, and why none of them should be read as a promise.

Expectation management

The Pirate Shop Token only matters while the 14-day Treasure Hunters window is live - it unlocks the pirate shop, and once the event ends it has no practical use. If the calculator says your realistic odds over the whole event are around one in three, that is not a plan, it is a coin flip with extra steps.

The practical read from the community: farm chests in dense areas, squad up to split the map, and treat any token as a bonus - not as the reason you are playing. The sprite checklist and the daily item shop are the parts of this event you can actually control.

For the full picture - what the token is, why it exists, and every circulating rarity figure in one table - the Pirate Shop Token guide covers the complete set.

Odds Calculator FAQ

How does the calculator work?

You enter how many Treasure Hunters chests you plan to open, and the calculator converts each community-reported per-chest estimate into the chance of getting at least one Pirate Shop Token across all of them: 1 - (1 - p)^n, where p is the per-chest estimate and n is your chest count. Each chest roll is assumed independent.

Which estimate should I trust?

None of them are official - Epic Games has never published a drop rate for the Pirate Shop Token. The four circulating numbers come from different sample sizes and counting methods, which is exactly why they disagree. Treat the calculator as a way to compare scenarios, not as a prediction.

Why do the estimates disagree so much?

Because they were estimated differently. Some players count total chests opened across a squad, some track only their own chests, and some extrapolate from a single lucky or unlucky session. Small samples swing wildly when the true rate is this low.

Does a high percentage guarantee I get the token?

No. The percentage is the probability of at least one token given the assumptions - it is never a guarantee. And remember the token only matters while the 14-day Treasure Hunters window is live; a token farmed after the event has no practical use.
